Spain
Think Spanish wine and you immediately think of Rioja, the fine Spanish wine which has been extremely popular here since the 19th century. Although we love Rioja, there is so much more to Spain. Massive investment in the vineyards and the wineries means that some of Europe's most exciting wines are coming out of Spain. Priorat, Jumilla, La Mancha and Toro to name but a few, are producing vibrant and tasty reds while there are some really fresh and fragrant whites coming from Rueda and Rias Baixas.
Bibendum's got a great selection of wines from across Spain including some of the finest wines the country produces. Viva Espana!
Bibendum Fact
Tempranillo, Spain's most famous grape variety travels incognito under a number of disguises. In different parts of the country, it might be called Ull de Lebre, Cencibel or maybe even Tinto del Pais.
