Beaujolais
Beaujolais produces France's fun and fruity wines, unique across the world as they are made from the slightly obscure Gamay grape. Not only are they made from this unique grape but they are also made in a way that is very individual to the region. Beaujolais's soft, strawberry and raspberry character is extremely popular the world over and is delicious chilled, especially in the summer. There are also some great wines to be found from the individual villages, some of them capable of developing beautifully over time.
Bibendum Fact
UPS and DHL go into overdrive once Beaujolais Nouveau is released in order to get 12.5 million bottles over to Japan in time for the release deadline. The Japanese are now the biggest drinkers and love not only the taste...but also throwing themselves into baths of the stuff!
