Fevre has flourished under the stewardship of dynamic winemaker Didier Seguier, who has turned the dials down on the oak a little in recent years to craft slightly wines that are more classically Chablis in style and which offer perhaps the finest value in the region.

2008 is a superb vintage for William Fevre that consolidates its place among the highest echelons of Chablis growers. It's success is demonstrated by the fact Allen Meadows of Burghound names four Fevre wines in his 'Sweet Spot' list for mid-priced wines and no less than seven in his 'Don't Miss Out' list for the very best wines; an extraordinary achievement. Fevre's Didier Seguier describes the 2008 as a vintage where "Chablis did not have the same difficult conditions as the rest of Burgundy and thus had a very different growing season with healthier fruit. This all confirms they will age extremely well. The wines are classic in style with a bit more flesh than the '07s, which are also excellent."
