Producer Information

The name Armand Rousseau is synonymous with Gevrey-Chambertin, and Chambertin itself in particular. One of the first domaines to bottle its own wine in the 1930s, Armand's son Charles took over in 1959, following Armand's death in a road accident, and today Charles' own son Eric is the winemaker. Despite having parcels in six Grand Crus, the domaine is most famous for three wines: the Chambertin, Clos de Beze and Premier Cru Clos St-Jacques - all of which can lay claim to being among the regions's finest wines. The consistency of all the wines is outstanding.
