"A moderately austere yet high-toned nose displays plenty of the classic animale character of a fine Mazis with airy red berry fruit aromas that dissolve into rich, full and sleekly-muscled flavors that possess good power and drive if not the concentration of the best here. Still, I like the depth and overall balance that should permit this to age over the medium term. Drink 2013+" Burghound. 89-91 Points.
Producer Information
Pascal is the man behind Domaine Robert Arnoux (Robert was his late father-in-law) and he runs this brilliant micro-negociant business out of the same cellar. The line-up of vineyards is staggering - his 'dream terroirs' in his words, and the wines are unsurprisingly delicious. It is fashionable to be a bit snobbish about negociant wines compared to domaine but it would be churlish in the extreme to overlook anything bearing Pascal's name.
