Chateau Les Ormes de Pez takes its name from the village Pez near St Estephe. Chateau Les Ormes de Pez is not to be mistaken as de Pez and La Tour de Pez which are cru bourgeois properties also near Pez.

This property goes back to the 19th Century, and it's vineyards are located in two plots north and south of the village of St Estephe, on the sand and gravel that is typical of the area. 70% of the vines are Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remaining 20% being Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged for 15 months in second-hand oak from Lynch-Bages and is fined and filtered before bottling - creating the Ormes de Pez flagship; a firm and fine wine.
