Tasting Notes
"Consumers should take note as this estate is clearly benefiting from increased attention from the Rothschilds. The 2003 may be the finest Duhart-Milon made ... ever! A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, it boasts a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a big, sweet perfume of black fruits interwoven with roasted herbs and meat juice offered in a muscular, full-bodied style. Full-bodied, dense, and well-structured, this stunning cuvee is best consumed between 2010-2030." 92+pts, Robert Parker
Producer Information
Chateau Duhart Milon is a Pauillac estate owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild producing on average 28,000 cases a year. Located in Pauillac town, the property has a similar climate to that enjoyed by the Medoc: maritime, with the Gironde estuary and the Bay of Biscay combining to act as a climate regulator and the coastal pine forests sheltering the vines from the westerly and north-westerly winds. Duhart Milon's vineyards are made up of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, and border Lafite Rothschild. Vinification includes oak ageing, up to 40% new. Duhart Milon is classified as a 4eme Cru Classe.
