Tasting Notes
"This is an excellent effort boasting notes of cedar, spice box, earth, and red and black currants in a medium-bodied, elegant style that exhibits the hand prints of Lafite Rothschild. A pure wine, it should age nicely for 10-15 years. Duhart is a chateau to watch as the Rothschilds (of Lafite) are making serious investments and pushing full-throttle to upgrade the quality and image of this estate." 89pts, Robert Parker
Producer Information
Chateau Duhart Milon is a Pauillac estate owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild producing on average 28,000 cases a year. Located in Pauillac town, the property has a similar climate to that enjoyed by the Medoc: maritime, with the Gironde estuary and the Bay of Biscay combining to act as a climate regulator and the coastal pine forests sheltering the vines from the westerly and north-westerly winds. Duhart Milon's vineyards are made up of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, and border Lafite Rothschild. Vinification includes oak ageing, up to 40% new. Duhart Milon is classified as a 4eme Cru Classe.
