Tasting Notes
Starry bright with a brilliant yellow hue. Subtle hints of honey, hazelnuts, grilled almonds and fresh pastry on the nose. Powerful and yet well-rounded, this wine is rich and savoury, finishing with a deliciously fresh touch. Very long length, shows a unique balance of finesse and depth.
Vinification Details.
To produce this L-P luxury cuvee, Bernard de Nonancourt decided to concentrate on 2 of the mainstays of Champagne's know-how: the blending of different crus & from different harvest years. The blended wine is then aged for about five years.
Producer Information
Founded in 1812, Laurent Perrier is today one of Champagnes most recognised names, and a true classic of the region. Based in the picturesque village of Tours-sure-Marne, Laurent Perrier has a very envious location at the intersection between Champagne's three foremost sub-regions: Montagne de Reims, Vallee de la Marne and Cote des Blancs.
Laurent Perrier was one of the first Champagne houses to introduce Chardonnay to its blend, creating a classic and signature style for the Champagne house, which today can be seen within its very popular signature cuvee, Laurent Perrier Brut. Here the proportion of Chardonnay is unusually high for a non-vintage Champagne blend.
Regional info.
The grapes are supplied by 12 of the most prestigious crus or villages, all of them Grands Crus classified at 100% such as Ambonnay, Verzenay, Mailly, Avize, Cramant, Chouilly & Mesnil-sur-Oger. Within these crus, only the very best plots are selected, as are the finest musts from the pressings.
