Salmon-pink in colour. Precise & very crisp with a lasting impression of freshness, hints of soft red fruits. Intensely fruity flavours, it has great length and is rounded and supple on the finish.
Awards and credentials
'This meaty, blood-orange red, strawberry stashed pink bubbly is one of the Prince of Wales and Camilla's favourite champagnes'. Jane MacQuitty - The Times (30-Sep-00)
Vinification Details.
Meticulous sorting of the grape bunches & controlled maceration help extract the colour & reveal full aromatic richness of pinot noir grapes. Unlike most rosé champagnes, the basis of L-P Cuvée Rosé is obtained by drawing the juice from black grapes in the vat. It is cellared for at least 4 years.
Producer Information
Founded in 1812, Laurent Perrier is today one of Champagnes most recognised names, and a true classic of the region. Based in the picturesque village of Tours-sure-Marne, Laurent Perrier has a very envious location at the intersection between Champagne's three foremost sub-regions: Montagne de Reims, Vallee de la Marne and Cote des Blancs.
Laurent Perrier was one of the first Champagne houses to introduce Chardonnay to its blend, creating a classic and signature style for the Champagne house, which today can be seen within its very popular signature cuvee, Laurent Perrier Brut. Here the proportion of Chardonnay is unusually high for a non-vintage Champagne blend.
Regional info.
Blended from 10 different crus considered to be among the finest villages in Champagne, including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois & Tours-sur-Marne. It is one of the rare rosé champagnes to be made using maceration (skin contact) technique which gives it the extraordinary depth and freshness.
