Tasting Notes

This is a treat.Red cherries & raspberries mingle on the deep, inviting nose. The palate displays vibrancy & further red fruit notes but with a dark twist. Highly polished & with admirable complexity

Vinification Details.

This cuvee is modelled on the Special Cuvee blend, combining the fruits of previous harvests & the addition of reserve wines. The final component, providing colour & delicate aromas of ripe red fruits, is a proportion of still red wine wine coming from their Grand Cru Vineyards in Ay & Vernezay.

Producer Information

Founded by Jacques Bollinger in 1829, this house is one of the few in Champagne to still be family owned. Two-thirds of the grapes used are grown on its own vineyards and Bollinger publishes a Charter of Ethics and Quality to clearly outline its practices and preserve and protect them for future generations. The house produces several labels under the Bollinger name, the vintage Vieilles Vignes Francaises, Grand Annee and Bollinger RD, as well as the popular non-vintage Special Cuvee - all known for their superb quality and rich, deep, full flavour.

Regional info.
