Producer Information
Mommessin was delighted to pick up an IWC Great Value trophy for their Beaujolais Villages in 2006, and it is just reward for a winery that really over-delivers on the quality front. Positively steeped in Beaujolais, they produce wine from the region's 10 crus including the soft, almost feminine Brouilly and a wonderfully floral Fleurie with a Burgundian Pinot Noir-like character. The quality of the winemaking is impeccable too, as you would expect from the owners of Burgundy's fabled Clos de Tart.
Regional info.
The area of production of our Vin de France rose spread over the Luberon, in the South of France and the Languedoc. The vineyard of this region is very old and is dating back to the Antiquity. It extends on the southern and northern slopes of the Luberon hills and the Herault department . It is belongs to the southern part of the Côtes du Rhone and the mediterranean country.
