Producer Information
"Quality above quantity, collective interest above individual interest, long-term above short-term." This is the motto of Cave de Ribeauville, the oldest wine co-operative in France, founded in 1895. Their impressive roster of aromatic whites convinced us that they were the ideal Alsatian partner for us. They have made massive investment in the winery including provision for vinification of small lots and 'terroir selections'. All the fruit is meticulously hand picked to produce a superb range of wines at all prices.
Regional info.
Founded in 1895, Cave de Ribeauville is the oldest grouping of wine producers in France. Currently farming 650 hectares of vines including 10 grands crus, Ribeauville is still faithful to its tradition of hand-harvesting. The winery is now equipped with a highly modern pressing and wine-making area, and has developed quickly on the international level with 60% of their 2.5 million bottles being exported. Ribeauville has also gained distinction by its patronage of the arts and its support to charitable organisations.
