Tasting Notes
Robert Parker
Score: 91-93 / 100 Robert Parker2010: Abundant minerality, spicy unsmoked cigar tobacco and red and black currant characteristics emerge from this medium to full-bodied Pessac-Leognan. Displaying more power, depth, muscle and tannin than usual, this opaque ruby/purple-hued 2010 should evolve for 20-25 years.
Jancis Robinson
Score: 16.5 / 20Very dark indeed. Well-integrated nose with some juicy fruit suggestion. Silky sweet start and then very marked tannins. Dry to drying finish. A tiny bit severe on the finish for now. Demands time.
Wine Spectator
Score: 89-92 / 100Very pure, with a lovely, supple feel to the structure and long, unadorned red currant, raspberry and cherry fruit that sails along. Shows flickers of warm stone and spice on the finish.
Bibendum
Score: 17 / 20Very good with lovely, pure black fruit and ultra-fine tannins. There is a light veneer of glossy oak over the fruit but no more, and the finish is long and refreshing. Very well made.
James Suckling
Score: 89-90 / 100I like the blueberry, menthol and mineral character, with full body, and silky, refined tannins. Tiny bit short.
