Producer Information

Domaine de Montplo is a small family property run by Jean-Michel Consul in a small hamlet near Cruzy. It is situated at 200 metres altitude on a terrace composed of ancient gravelly, rather deep & well draining Villafranchien soil. The first harvest was in 2003, and 3 varieties of old vines are cultivated in roughly equal quantities: Syrah, Grenache, & Carignan. Currently, only one wine is made each year.
