Producer Information

Domaine La Croix Belle is one of the largest quality-driven single estates in one of the most interesting sub-regions of the Languedoc. Established in 1794 and managed by Francoise and Jacques Boyer, this is a very large single estate (over 100ha) in one of the most interesting parts of the Languedoc. Set in the foothills of the Montagne Noire on fantastic soils - mostly gravels and pebbles, outside the historic town of Puissalicon near Beziers, La Croix Belle is surrounded by ancient landmarks. The vines are naturally low-yielding with the dual varietals at 65hl/ha and the single varietals around 45hl/ha. They have a mechanised sorting table similar to those used by the top large estates in Bordeaux. These are some seriously dedicated people who are out to prove that the Languedoc can make delicious wines at a great price. Not only do we think they are stunning, but they have also recently received the following accolades -

In the Top Values Wines from France' - Wine Spectator (Feb 2009)

'Consistent Value Producer from Languedoc-Roussillon' - Wine Spectator (Aug 2008)
