Tasting Notes

A classic Provencal rose, beautifully pale pink in colour with a delicate nose of strawberry and cherry. An abundance of fresh red fruit on the palate, with balanced acidity and a crisp finish.

Vinification Details.

The wine is vinified in stainless steel using the saignee method which is traditional in Provence.

Producer Information

Located amongst 200ha of vines, orchards and forests north-west of Saint-Tropez this 16th Century Chateau adds a touch of Cote d'Azur glamour to our list. The estate grows Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault and focuses on the production of classic pale pink Provencal rose - a magnum of which is a fine way to while away a summer afternoon.

Regional info.

The appellation AC Cotes de Provence was created in 1977. The vineyards of Chateau Saint Baillon are located on stony slopes in Provence, north west of St Tropez. They implement "lutte raisonee" principales, minimalist usage of treatments and overall a more environmenatlly friendly approach.
