Producer Information
Preece is a range of wines made by the Mitchelton winery in Victoria, which commemorates Mitchelton's first winemaker Colin Preece. All the grapes are sourced from cooler climate sites in Victoria with the expressed aim of making wines that retain a natural elegance and purity of flavour.
Regional info.
Central Victorian winery Mitchelton has produced the Preece range of wines for over two decades. The range is named in honour of Colin Preece, a pioneer of the Australian wine industry and Mitchelton's founding winemaker.
Preece wines capture the simple pleasures of life in a bottle, with premium fruit sourced from Mitchelton's estate vineyards and sites in top Victorian wine regions. It has all been kept nice and easy - popular varietals, elegant wine styles and a fresh approach - to ensure Preece wines are enjoyed anytime, anywhere.
The fruit for the Preece Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from two very distinct high altitude, mature vineyard sites in Central Victoria's Strathbogie Ranges. Regular sampling and close monitoring of fl avour development in these cooler vineyard sites provided a two week harvest window resulting in a spectrum of classic Sauvignon Blanc flavours.
