Tasting Notes

Pale yellow colour with green glints. An intense nose with clear aromas of tropical fruits and aromatic herbs. A crisp, and very tasty wine with light acidity and structure. Pronounced flavours of grapefruit, lemon and peach. A delicious and interesting alternative to Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.

Vinification Details.

Fermentation within stainless steel vats using native yeasts, and lees stiring for a minimum of 3 months. Fermentation takes place at 15 degrees C for 21 days.

Regional info.

Under the protection of the fertile waters of the Duero, the Rueda D.O. is located at a height of 730 metres, and is subject to cold and very long winters, short springs with late frosts and hot summers.

The differences in temperature between the day and the night, so typical of high lands, are the secret to the balance between the sugar (that is produced with the sun) and the acidity that it doesn't lose during the cold night.

In the Rueda, typical terrace soil with high percentage of river pebbles, whilst lower down the structure turns to sand and limestone. The Rueda soil is poor in organic material but very warm due to the mixture of sand and pebbles.
