Producer Information
In the heart of the beautiful Soave region, Tenimenti has a brand new winery with stainless steel at every turn, state-of-the-art analysis labs and screwcap bottling lines - you name it, they've got it. Bibendum's own winemaker Belinda Kleinig works closely with chief winemaker Fabio Bigalin and his team to produce clean, modern - but typically Italian wines that are perfect for the UK market. Whilst the main base for the Tenimenti Associati is situated within the North of Italy, its state-of-the-art, modern winemaking facilities are situated around the country, including the island of Siciliy.
Regional info.
The Veneto conjures up images of Romeo & Juliet, Venice, romance and passion. When it comes to Veneto wines it's exactly the same. From Soave, Pinot Grigio, the wonderful sparkling Prosecco to the basic Valpolicella and the majestic and noble Amarones. The Veneto, located on the north-east of continental Italy, between Alps and the Adriatic sea, is among the foremost wine-producing regions, both for quality and quantity. The region counts over 20 DOC zones and a variety of sub-categories, many of its wines, both dry and Spumanti, are internationally known and appreciated. The region is protected from the harsh northern European climate by the Alps, the foothills of which form the Veneto's northern extremes. These cooler climes are well-suited to white varieties like Garganega while the warmer Adriatic coastal plains and river valleys are where the renowned Valpolicella, Amarone and Bardolino DOC reds are produced.
