Tasting Notes

Pale and light with subtle raspberry and strawberry notes adding to classic lemon and apple Pinot Grigio notes. A hint of juicy sweetness on the palate makes it all the more delicious.

Vinification Details.

The grapes are picked at just the right ripeness during the last ten days of September, and vinified after gentle pressing; The must stay on the skins a short time as to obtain a slight pink color and ferments at 17-18C with selected indigenous yeasts which enhance the varietal character; the new wine stays in stainless steel until it is cold sterile bottled.

Producer Information

A medium-sized producer based on the banks of Lake Garda in Bardolino country, Lamberti focus on producing clean, fresh, modern versions of classic wines like Soave and Valpolicella. They source grapes from across the region and deliver them into a state of the art winery. The company's forward looking attitude, and customer centered approach, can be demonstrated by the development of single varietal IGT wines including a bang up to date Pinot Grigio blush.

Regional info.

From sites in Trentino and in Veneto, on the hills along the Adige Valley (200 metres average altitude), Pinot Grigio is a pink skinned cousin of Pinot Noir with just enough colour in the skins to add a pale blush colour to the juice, along with some subtle red berry fruit. The result is a chillable rose with the magic PG on the label and a taste drinkers never seem to tire of.

A massive hit on its release, Pinot Grigio Blush is great little number that combines the two fastest growing categories in the UK into one wine!
