Montevetrano: Southern Italian Gems

Montevetrano is an Italian boutique winery located on the slopes of the Picentini Mountains Regional Park. The grapes are grown and the wine produced just a few miles outside Salerno, at Silvia Imparato's Montevetrano estate in San Cipriano Picentino.

Montevetrano is one of the pioneers of Campania. With the help of Riccardo Cotarella (who also makes Terra di Lavoro), Silvia Imparato has created a world class wine that shows Southern Italy at its very best. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Aglianico, aged in 50% new oak, the wine benefits from ageing and has won the highly regarded Tre Bicchieri (3 glasses) award in every single vintage since 1995 - which is no mean feat. It has also just been very favourably reviewed by the Wine Advocate's Antonio Galloni.
