Mas de Daumas Gassac 2009

Mas de Daumas Gassac is justifiably one of the most famous wines of the south of France. Qualifying only as a vin de pays because of the cepage (80% Cabernet with 20% various local varieties), it reaches a quality level far above the majority of its peers. Notoriously austere for the first couple of years, it repays cellaring and develops smoky, mineral complexity over time.

You may have heard that 2009 was rather a good vintage in certain regions of France - so it will come as no surprise that it was excellent in the Languedoc too. We think this represents cracking value at £215 IB, available in limited allocations, get involved now ready to enjoy yours over the next few years.
