Mongeard Mugneret

Jean Mongeard is a prominent figure in Burgundy as President of the 'Association des Viticulteurs de la Cote d'Or'. He was also one of the most prominent growers in Vosne-Romanee, however owing to his busy schedule on the committee; in 1985 he handed over responsibility for winemaking to his son Vincent. The domaine has 30 hectares of vineyards; including small parcels of Grand Crus Clos de Vougeot and Richebourg. These are sturdy, concentrated, well-proportioned wines that over the years become hugely elegant and refined. Since 1998 Vincent has sourced his own oak; ensuring he only uses quality wood, which is carefully managed and never a detriment to the wine.
