Lucien Le Moine

Domaine Lucien Le Moine is a negociant label of Lebanese born winemaker Mounier Saouma, who spent six years making wine for a French monastery in Israel before moving to Burgundy in 1999. He raises the wine on their lees in 50% new, slowly toasted Seguin-Moreau barrels in his small cave in Beaune and bottles them without fining or filtration. The domaine uses only Premier Cru and Grand Cru grapes bought in. The wines have great depth and richness, however they are more akin to the Californian style rather than traditional Burgundy.
