Baudana

Luigi and Fiorina Baudana have been cultivating grapes since 1975 from their 4.5 hectares of vineyards situated on two important Crus of Serralunga d'Alba, called, confusingly, Baudana and Cerretta. Nebbiolo grapes for Barolo wine (2 has), Barbera d'Alba (0.5 ha), Dolcetto d'Alba (1 ha), Chardonnay (0.5 ha) and 0.5 ha planted with what they call 'foreign' vines (Sauvignon and Merlot) since 1996 in order to experiment a bit.

Some of the Nebbiolo vineyards have been carefully preserved and now they are around 30 years old, while the others have been re-installed between the 1980 and the 1990.
