VC Family Estates is one of the hottest names in South America. Its stable of wineries includes Porta, Gracia, Veranda and Agustinos in Chile and Chalten and Calafate in Argentina. But far from being a group of stale, marketing driven brands, these labels represent the adventurous spirit at the forefront of South American winemaking.

VC Family Estates has about 1000 hectares of vines in full production in areas like Maipo, Alta Cachapoel, Apalta and Colchagua, but it is in the more marginal regions like Bio Bio, Aconcagua and Neuquen-Patagonia that the company is doing some of its most pioneering work, especially with varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. These are terroir driven, elegant wines with clean, fresh fruit from Chile and Argentina's coolest areas that provide exactly what drinkers are currently after. At the helm as chief winemaker and consultant is the very well-known Burgundian winemaker, Pascal Marchand.
