Ojai Vineyards

Now over twenty-five years old, The Ojai Vineyard is a classic boutique operation. Just 6000 cases of wine are produced each year, divided between fifteen different wines. Most of the wine is sold directly via mail order to loyal customers. Winemaker Adam Tolmach (a former partner in the famed Au Bon Climat) works with about a dozen vineyards in the Central Coast and produces intelligent, well-balanced wines made with plenty of thought. The Sauvignon Blanc is sleek, refreshing and zesty, while the powerful, peppery Syrahs clearly demonstrate the differences in terroir between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara.
