Chateau Mouton Rothschild
Chateau Mouton-Rothschild is famous for its labels; which are designed by a different artist every year. Dali, Picasso, Warhol and, er, HRH Prince Charles are among the artists who have taken part in the past. After being elevated to First Growth status in 1973 (originally it was named a Second Growth in the 1855 Classification), the chateau now enjoys Premier Cru status as a top fine wine in Bordeaux.
Located across from Chateau Lafite; with which it has historically enjoyed a friendly Rothschild rivalry, Mouton is located in Pauillac in the Medoc. The wine itself is usually dominated by a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon which gives Mouton its characteristic rich blackcurrant flavours and, of course the power and structure to last for many decades, it doesn't get much better than this!
