Luca

The Luca wines were created by Laura Catena, daughter of former Decanter Man of the Year Nicolas Catena, to celebrate some of the oldest vines in Argentina. Each wine is made in tiny quantities with head winemaker Luis Reginato charged with replicating each parcel's individual terroir in the bottle. We think the star wine here is the Syrah which is sourced from vines approaching their 50th birthday in Mendoza's Valle de Uco, but the Pinot Noir is not far behind and shows that there is real potential for this variety in Argentina.
