Laberinto
A project we have been watching for a few years now as winemaker Rafael Tirado is an old friend of Bibendum from his days at VIA. Planted back in 1993 Rafa's hillside estate has some 18 hectares of vines - think beautiful Tuscany landscape with lakes! Medium warm days but importantly cool nights keep the vines fresh and allow for longer maturation to give the best phenolic ripeness without rushing. In 1996 he built Chile's first gravity-fed cellar and promotes the use of concrete tanks for the reds and stainless steel for the whites. We are showing a fantastic Pinot Noir, sourced from a 3ha plot planted high up on the hills.
