In 2009 Bibendum was honoured to be named ‘Best Value Merchant of the Year’ in the Sommelier Wine Awards. The judges said:

"This award is all about over-delivery - and Bibendum certainly managed that this year. Of its seven Gold Listed wines, all but one were under a tenner, and most were under £8 [trade price ex VAT]. That is one hell of a good performance and shows that the company has a good eye for finding great wines at list-friendly prices."
