Results Round-up - 15/05/2009
As the dust settles after the manic London International Wine Fair 2009, we have time to reflect on the great achievements of many of the wineries we work with. The results are pretty encyclopaedic so what follows is a highlights package that even 'Match of the Day' would be proud of.
Trophies and Gold Medals
There were some great results in the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) as Valdivieso Single Vineyard Merlot 2007 won the trophy for Chilean Red Bordeaux Varietal over £10 and Balfour Brut Rose won the English Sparkling Wine over £10 Trophy.
In the IWC Competition there were plenty of Gold Medal winners:

Silver Medals
There was a bumper crop of of silver medal winners this year. Successful wineries included:

Bisol
This tip-top Prosecco producer won an amazing 14 awards including 3 silver medals and 5 bronze.
Laroche
Also scooped 14 awards, with 1 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze
Journey's End
Of their 11 awards there were 10 bronze medals and 1 silver
Casa de la Ermita
12 awards in total with 2 silver and 6 bronze
d'Arenberg
Chester and the gang posted the biggest numbers with a phenomenal 31 wines recogised by both competitions. This total included 8 silvers and 14 bronze medals.
