@bibendumwine is in Bordeaux! - 31/03/2009

While some of us are stuck in the office, others are deciding whether to have saute de veau or steak frites with their '01 Pontet Canet at lunch in Bordeaux. They'll probably tell you that tasting 2008 Medoc from barrel all morning is really hard work and that they're on their last legs by the time lunch rolls round, but I wouldn't believe them.

For the first time ever, @bibendumwine will be tweeting its way around the world's most famous wine region. With trusty blackberry in one hand, glass in another, and notebook in another, he will be posting notes, impressions and lunch choices up on Twitter. Very easy to follow the news as soon as it arrives by signing up here and following him.

As usual, the blogs will be coming thick and fast (depending on the wifi-ness of the hotel!). Filled with wine recommendations, observations and general japery, these will be posted daily. Check out Day 1 now.
