A2O, come on let's go! - 05/03/2008
We're always thrilled to get a good write up for one of our wines, whether it be in the Whitley Bay Gazette or the FT. But seldom, it must be said, do our great (but frankly not very expensive) core wines reach the hallowed palates at the Wine Advocate. So when Jay Miller of self same organ awarded A2O Albarino 90 points, well then it was definitely time to break out the big trumpets and shout it loud and proud from the very rooftops!
Here, for the record, is what Mr Miller thought of the mighty A2O:
"Medium straw-colored with a green tint, the nose offers up notes of minerality, peach, jasmine, citrus, and a hint of tropical fruits in the background. Crisp, lingering, and refreshing on the palate, this lively effort would pair well with flaky fish courses. 90/100"
