Bordeaux releases update - 02/06/2008
Some wines really seem to punch above their weight and this year Grand Puy Lacoste and Haut Batailley fall squarely in this category. Both were extremely impressive in Bordeaux and we are even happier now we have seen the prices: quality Pauillac at under £200 (Haut Batailley) is certainly not to be sniffed at. For those after willing to splash out on something slightly posher, also just out is Pichon Baron ,and, from just over the fence in Margaux, Palmer - both very smart wines which have done well in 2007.
