Tickets for Bibendum's Burgundy Tasting at RIBA on Weds 14th January now on sale... - 03/12/2008
The biggest and best Burgundy tasting in town is back on Wednesday, January 14th 2009. Aided and abetted by some of the finest growers in the world, Bibendum will once again be taking over RIBA to bring you the finest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays known to man.
We've lined up an array of stellar growers from all over the Cote d'Or and even added a few top Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers from around the globe.
As usual, the tasting will focus on the new releases from Burgundy, in this case the 2007 vintage. Here's Neal Martin from www.erobertparker.com on the vintage:
"2007 is an interesting vintage, an "upside down" one as one grower described it with a very warm spring then a cool August, saved by a clement September. So far, the wines have been impressive in terms of vibrant acidity and purity of fruit, with some magical whites."
You can read what we thought of the vintage when we visited our growers in November on our blog.
