Burgundy 2009

2009 is a very strong Burgundy vintage with great wines to buy at all prices and levels.

An excellent wine vintage - with great quality from Bourgogne right up to Grand Cru.

Fantastic quality across the Cote de Nuits but Nuits-St-George gets a special mention; the wines are so much better than usual here.

Very impressive Cote de Beaune reds too - this is a very good place to look for value.

Whites are more inconsistent but there are lots of success stories; Puligny-Montrachet is a particular sweet-spot.
